The course will be delivered by George Rentoul who graduated in Sports Therapy at The University of Chichester in 2016 and has built a reputation as a highly skilled and committed therapist working with SWEAT Southsea and Up and Running as well as local schools and sports teams.
Back in June, we were delighted to welcome Nuts Over The Atlantic to the Fitness Festival. Mark, Steve, Dan and Jon make up the Nuts team and they are busy readying themselves for one of the toughest races on Earth; The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, a 3,000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean in aid of The Movember Foundation, a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Every member of Team Nuts has been directly or indirectly affected by the causes Movember stands for - testicular cancer, prostate cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Not content with taking on this mammoth challenge, the team are aiming to raise £100,000 to support The Movember Foundation.
On 17th November the SWEAT Southsea team and community will aim to row continuously for a combined 48 hour period on our two indoor rowers to raise help raise awareness, and funds in support of the Nuts Over The Atlantic team and The Movember Foundation.

SWEAT Personal Trainer Max Eacott is raising money for charity Breast Cancer Now by taking on the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 – a 100-mile cycling challenge on closed roads.
The challenge takes place on Sunday 30th July and Max's target is £650.
Our 'Introduction to free-weights, Workshop for women' returns taking place over three Saturday's:
Saturday 29th July, Saturday 5th August and Saturday 12th August.

Participants should attend all three sessions
Participants will develop the skills and confidence to use free-weights independently and will learn how to devise their own gym plans. The workshop is aimed at beginners and so no experience is necessary and as with everything at SWEAT, no memberships are required.

Canoe Lake Leisure and the LTA are very excited to be hosting the inaugural Aegon Southsea Trophy tournament this year between the 27th and 30th of June at Canoe Lake's grass courts. Entry will be free to all members of the public.
