SWEAT Southsea offers bespoke studio classes with capacities of between just eight and twelve participants. Passionate and knowledgable instructors and a fun, welcoming environment make SWEAT the number one for group fitness classes.

Many of our customers mix and match classes providing them with variety through the week and many choose to mix our classes with our personal training services. Either way, we're confident of providing you with the fastest routes to achieving your fitness goals. Our classes are available on a pay-as-you-go basis, or alternatively with SWEAT Benefits, classes can be purchased in weekly 3 for £20 bundles.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that booking is required in advance and that we operate a 12 hour cancellation policy. We reserve the right to charge you for a late cancellation should you be unable to notify us within the 12 hours. Please note that our cancellation policy applies to all bookings including those made online. We keep our class sizes small and this policy enables us to ensure spaces don’t go to waste. Barre

SWEAT’s Barre workouts are designed to stretch, strengthen and condition.

Our specialists Abbie and Lily carefully craft sessions that will challenge and exhilarate in equal measure. Get ready to feel the burn!

No experience is necessary, and beginners are always welcome!

HIIT + Core

The SWEAT team deliver High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) at its best.  An intense total body workout, this is an explosive class designed to get you fitter faster. The class places an emphasis on improving athletic performance, core strengthening and cardiovascular fitness.

HIIT and Core is the ideal combination workout, perfectly suited to a wide range of goals from shedding body fat, to improving your PB’s.

Pilates

SWEAT’s Pilates classes offer a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. 

Movements are underpinned by basic principles which are based in modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective exercise methods available. Pilates uses targeted exercises to create a holistic workout requiring the full attention of body and mind.

(Those with medical issues are invited to book in for 1-1 or small group private sessions, and to look out for upcoming SWEAT Southsea workshops)

Bars + Bells

Centuries old, the origin and history of the kettlebell is widely debated, but the effectiveness of an expertly designed kettlebell workout remains indisputable.

In Bars + Bells, SWEAT teams Kettlebells with additional equipment such as barbells, dumbbells and resistance bands to deliver a demanding total body workout.

With a capacity of just eight participants, we offer a safe and highly effective environment for a free-weight based class. Beginners always welcome.

Circuits

A functional workout at its best, SWEAT's Circuits classes take place in a functional training zone so expect battle ropes and slam balls, box jumps and sandbags, TRX exercises and a whole range of weighted and body-weight exercises. Quality technique and self-progression is the focus.

Beginners always welcome, we encourage everyone to work to their own intensity.

SWEAT Outdoors

This isn't your usual 'bootcamp'. We are proud of delivering excellent supervision and guidance from fully qualified Personal Trainers and every week brings something different. We encourage everyone to work as hard as they individually can. Sessions are tailored so that beginners are always welcome and everybody regardless of fitness levels will work to their maximum.

HIIT TRX

The SWEAT team pairs its High Intensity Interval Training with TRX suspension training to deliver an intense full body workout which will help improve athletic performance, core strength and overall fitness levels. These classes are taken by official TRX certified instructors.

TRX Conditioning

SWEAT’s TRX Conditioning classes are led by personal trainers Abbie and Lily. The TRX is used to improve strength and balance.

Yoga

More than just a series of postures, this 2,000 year old practice combines breathing, movements and mediation (just to start) to raise our awareness of our behaviour and increase our wellbeing. 

The health benefits of yoga are endless and the best part is absolutely everyone can it. Traditionally starting with a few moments to focus on yourself, a class will provide an opportunity to really listen to what your body is telling you. With a series of asanas or postures, the body is challenged in strength, flexibility and endurance. Each class usually has a theme to work on with some take-home messages. 

Sam teaches Hatha and flow yoga, and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. With Sam, you can expect a fun challenge at any level.
