We founded SWEAT Southsea in early 2015. Having both become somewhat disillusioned with life in the London corporate world, we handed in our notices, moved back home to the South Coast and formed SWEAT Southsea and The Fitness Festival. Whilst working bar jobs, we took on a huge industrial warehouse and set about creating the best possible team and environment we could hoping to build a new fitness community. Now, going into 2018, heading towards our third birthday, we are proud to say those goals have been well and truly met. Boasting a multi-disciplinary team consisting of personal trainers, injury and rehabilitation experts, Pilates Instructors and a nutritionist we have become one of the leading destinations for health, fitness and wellbeing on the South Coast.

Personal Training

Our vast warehouse space in the heart of Southsea is home to a bespoke, high-quality gym and studio spaces which are dedicated to 1-1 Personal Training, Pilates, Yoga, Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy. At SWEAT Southsea you can train effectively in a private and comfortable environment, free from the usual gym crowds and without any sign up or membership fees.

Pay-as-you-go Classes

We offer bespoke studio classes across two sites with capacities of between just eight and twelve participants. Passionate and knowledgable instructors and a fun, welcoming environment make SWEAT the number one for group fitness classes. Our classes are available on a pay-as-you-go basis, or alternatively with SWEAT Benefits, classes can be purchased in weekly 3 for £20 bundles.

Sports Injury Clinic

We offer treatment and rehabilitation services with two spacious and comfortable treatment rooms and the use of a functional gym. Our team consists of a Physiotherapist (MSc), three University of Chichester Sports Therapy graduates alongside a Sports Massage Therapist. This combination makes the Injury Clinic at SWEAT Southsea one of the best choices for the prevention, assessment and treatment of injury and for rehabilitation.

Pilates will help to improve your core strength, key in protecting the spine and will help to remove imbalances within the body which may predispose you to injury. Pilates will also help you improve posture, balance and flexibility. As well as classes, we offer 1-1 and semi-private Pilates instruction. Amanda trained with STOTT Pilates whilst Lexie and Sam both trained with APPI Pilates.

We now offer a Nutrition service using up-to-date, evidence-based science to provide personalised dietary plans to improve lifestyle and/or performance. Our in-house nutritionist has a Masters in Sports Nutrition and BSc(Hons) degree in Nutrition, both from St Mary’s University, Twickenham and is  registered as an Associate Nutritionist with the UK Association for Nutrition.
